Sebastian Maniscalco has been making fans laugh since 1998, and has been on popular shows like Comedy Central Presents: Stand Up Comedy. Now, you can catch him at this year’s Philly Fights Cancer: From Home event, hosted by Penn Medicine’s Abramson Cancer Center. See the comedian perform as he jokingly converses with Stephen Colbert-approved moderator Pat McGann. Held virtually due to the pandemic, the evening will also include a performance by Philadelphia singer Jessy Kyle. Kyle’s signature soulful style was honed over the course of 2,000 live shows, including recitals at the White House, Madison Square Garden and the Philadelphia Convention Center—to name a few. In lieu of the usual dinner, guests are encouraged to support the event’s restaurant partners—including city favorites like Bud & Marilyn’s, Barbuzzo, Distrito and Sampan—by ordering take-out. Since it was founded in 2015, the Philly Fights Cancer Foundation has raised over $39 million for research and clinical trials at the Abramson Cancer Center. Proceeds will honor the Pancreatic Cancer researchers at the Abramson Cancer Center. 7pm, October 24, phillyfightscancer.org
