What motivated you to start your business?
After designing all the flowers and decor for my wedding, I realized that if I can do my own wedding and be the bride at the same time, then I can definitely start my own business and I've always dreamt of having my own business. I was a paralegal when I created Posies & Peonies and I thought Posies & Peonies was just going to be a side hobby business, but after 3 plus years, I was able to leave my paralegal job and focus on Posies & Peonies full-time. That is a dream come true for me.
What is your best advice for engaged couples?
My advice is to have fun, try not to get stressed out and to maintain a positive attitude with a positive approach. My other advice is to listen to your heart and make decisions that will make you happy.
What is something you constantly strive for?
Perfection. I am not perfect and I know not everything in life is perfect, but when you strive for perfection, you will feel better and happier with the end result. For example, if I am designing a bridal bouquet and I feel that it is not quite perfect, I will spend an immeasurable amount of time to get it perfect. I do the same for all my floral arrangements. I will stare at them, tweak them, and make sure they are visually balanced.
What is the most gratifying part of your business:
The most gratifying part of my business is that I get to be a part of one of the best days of my clients' lives and to be able to witness their love and happiness with their friends and families.
What three words describe you or your business best:
