Embrace your inner art enthusiast at this month’s Rittenhouse Square Fine Art Show.
Peruse the work of top local, national and Canadian artists at the show.
It’s no secret that Philadelphia has one of the country’s most flourishing art scenes. Don’t believe us? Just wander into Rittenhouse Square between Sept. 20 and 22 for one of the city’s longestrunning traditions. “The Rittenhouse Square Fine Art Show is unlike any other art show,” says managing director Chris Buonomo. “Nearly a century old, the event is the oldest outdoor art show in the country. In addition, the show is a very select juried exhibition of original art—no crafts, no reproductions. It is all original fine art only.”
This year’s community partner is Friends of Rittenhouse Square, Inc.
This month, the Friday, Saturday and Sunday exhibition (rittenhousesquareart.com) will showcase over 145 professional and student artists from the U.S. and Canada: think painting, drawing, mixed media, printmaking and sculpture. While perusing the works of Darrell George, Kerry Sacco, Collin Margerum, Edwin Lester, Dave Bruner and more, you just might find your home’s missing piece.
