Samantha Schimek and Cody Jackson met at age 17, so after a decade of dating, Cody popped the question on their 10-year anniversary while on a trip to Maui. “On the day of the proposal, we hiked a mountain and went to a winery,” says Samantha. “Before dinner that night, we walked down to the beach to see the sunset, and Cody dropped to one knee. Everyone on the beach was cheering; it was a perfect proposal!” Two years later, the couple tied the knot at Hotel du Village with an unforgettable party. A black and white theme with silver accents (like the disco ball drink stirrers by Olive Street Events) created an elevated vibe while the newlyweds and their 171 guests danced to DJ Frankie Markocki’s beats— ending with late-night s’mores and Chick-fi l-A.
