Designer Stephanie Rado Taormina Talks Favorite Vacations and What She Can't Stop Buying
By Marni MankoBy Marni Manko|August 4, 2020|Style & Beauty,
When a burgeoning designer gets noticed by a retail behemoth like West Chester’s QVC, it’s a real game changer. So when Berks County designer Stephanie Rado Taormina’s lifestyle brand Have Some Fun Today (havesomefuntoday.com) was one of the winners of QVC’s Big Find, a nationwide search for innovative products in beauty and fashion, it exposed her fun-loving label to a whole new audience. Fans of HSFT are dually obsessed with Taormina’s own haute boho style and bestsellers like cropped tanks and the Luxe tote, splashed with her positive affirmations. Here, the interior designer and fashion industry vet talks about her favorite things.
TOP VACATION DESTINATION
I’d love to be lying on a beach on the island of St. Barts right now. I love to relax in the warmth and glamour of that wonderful Caribbean island—and it would give me an opportunity to bring my new Have Some Fun Today Moroccan beach tote!
CAN’T-LIVE-WITHOUT CLOTHING
A great pair of jeans. I have about 50 pairs of jeans, which are from all different lines—designer ones and regular—but I still love great-fitting Levi’s (levis.com).
FAVORITE FASHION DESIGNER
Right now, I’m loving Isabel Marant (isabelmarant.com). She has a very cool, fresh bohemian vibe. I also adore Zimmermann (zimmermannwear.com) from Australia because I love how she has reinterpreted femininity with lace and eyelet, which has a hip freshness that I haven’t seen from anyone else.
BEST PLACE FOR RETAIL THERAPY
As a former interior designer, I’m really good at mixing things up. Shopping, for me, is about quality and unique finds. In Wayne, I love Waltzing Matilda and Eaves (shopeaves.com).
GO-TO RESERVATION
Cheu Fishtown (cheufishtown.com). I was brought there by my native Philly artist friends and I love the amazing food plus the cool, quirky and cozy international feel.
