Don’t call it a mall. From live music to movies and everything in between, Fashion District is Philly’s newest hub for shopping, dining, entertainment, art, and culture.

If you’re looking for a way to beat the winter weather, this expansive space spanning three city blocks is the place to be. What many may remember as The Gallery is now home to a range of shopping options, dining and drinking destinations, art exhibits, and more.

With a standout lineup of traditional retail stores, including a Nike Factory Store, Levi’s Outlet, Forever 21, and Ulta Beauty, Fashion District is giving Philadelphians and out-of-towners alike a plethora of reasons to head to the Market East area of Philly. They’ve even made a conscious effort to include many local businesses, such as South Fellini, American Hats, Dolly’s Boutique, and Sable Collective, so you can still shop small when you’re at one of the largest shopping centers in the area.

When you get hungry from all that shopping, The District has you covered with delicious dining options that everyone from kids to foodies can enjoy. Tried and true favorites like Chick-fil-a, Cinnabon, and Chickie’s and Pete’s are complemented by fast casual options such as Burger-Fi, Freshii, and Oath Pizza. It also boasts the city’s first urban winery, City Winery, where you can catch live music on a nightly basis over dinner and drinks.

The recent opening of the state-of-the-art AMC Theatres inside The District marks the return of the silver screen to Center City. The brand-new cinema features eight screens, reclining chairs, food and drink delivery right to your seats, and two auditoriums that support premium-format screenings only experienced at a handful of theaters nationwide – making it the perfect place to grab dinner and a movie, all in one spot.

There’s fun for all your friends and family too. Round 1 Bowling & Amusement, a multi-entertainment facility, will open its doors December 21, and offers bowling, arcade games, billiards, karaoke, ping pong, darts, and a Kids Zone play area.

Want to admire some art without heading to the museum? The District is full of eye candy. With more than $1 million commissioned art – created by distinguished artists that have been featured in renowned museums across the globe – it’s the largest free public art display in a retail offering within the state.

The District is also helping to foster the city’s creative community with one of its newest openings, REC Philly, a coworking space where creatives can collaborate and access the resources needed to hone their craft.

If all of that isn’t enough to make you come explore Fashion District, their calendar is packed with events like the Deck The District holiday spectacular featuring a daily light show and photos with Santa until Dec. 24th, the Grand Opening of Round 1 Bowling & Amusement, and their upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations to kick-off 2020.
