If you think retail and real estate have nothing in common, Nicole Miller Philadelphia and Philly Luxury at The Daly Group are out to change your mind. The two female-owned small businesses recently teamed up for a photo shoot and conversation about collaboration and community in the time of COVID-19.
“At Philly Luxury by The Daly Group, we believe that owning property and leadership are intertwined,” says Kristin Daly, CEO and team leader at Philly Luxury. “With this foundation, we, as brokers, are honored to help our clients buy and sell their properties. During this sensitive time, we have devoted our time to learn from the best Philadelphia leaders, including Mary K. Dougherty from Nicole Miller, among many others.”
“Kristin and I shared ideas and vision for where we saw the option for growth in fashion and real estate post-COVID19,” says Dougherty, owner of Nicole Miller Philadelphia in Manayunk. “We are similar in our approach to the importance of relationship selling. It’s not just about fashion and real estate. It is a lifelong friendship that starts with the connection through business.”
Dougherty adds, “The events of the past couple months have changed our lives forever. We have to continue to be positive, look for the silver linings and partner with other small businesses that are innovative.”
The photo shoot was inspired by Philly Luxury’s new The Influencer Series. The ongoing Zoom event features notable Philadelphia leaders talking about a variety of subjects, from success stories to making a professional pivot in the midst of the pandemic.
“The Influencer Series was started to help our community stay empowered, inspired and educated on all industries in Philadelphia,” says Megan Nicoletti, the firm’s marketing director and creator of the series. “We partnered with Mary to express how passionate we are in supporting our local businesses.”
Adds Daly, "I enjoy empowering those around me, especially women, to create new leaders while highlighting the importance of financial strength and independence.”
