New lasers, restaurants and jewelry on the Main Line to know now
Adorn your RememBar with your loved one’s birthstone.
LOVE LIVES ON
As a fourth-generation funeral director, Jennifer Graziano has had a lifelong passion to help, guide and support those who grieve. And after completing courses of study at the Fashion Institute of Technology and recognizing a void in elegant ways to memorialize those who’ve passed away—including her own mother—she created RememBar (remembarcollection.com), a line of minimal, timeless and classic jewelry that allows you to hold your loved ones near. “Each piece of the collection has a hollowed-out bar that allows you to physically carry a piece of your loved ones wherever you go, whether that’s a drop of perfume or even a strand of hair,” she says. Shop the collection from July 14 to 15 at Bryn Mawr’s Rachelle Boutique & Designer Consignment, during Graziano’s trunk show.
Dr. Eric Bernstein
ABOUT FACE
Dr. Eric Bernstein isn’t shy about his love—obsession, really—of lasers. Each of his treatment rooms in his Main Line Center for Laser Surgery (dermguy.com) is chock full of all the latest and most innovative lasers that combat everything from unwanted hair to acne scarring. But his latest offering, UltraClear, is something that’ll have every Main Line woman who wants the anti-aging benefits of lasering without any pain or downtime hightailing straight to his Suburban Square office for a 15-minute lunchtime session. “What amazes me about the UltraClear is that we’re seeing a tremendous response in terms of skin improvement, often with no discomfort at all, no need for numbing cream and very little or no downtime,” says Bernstein. “I often associated downtime and pain with the degree of improvement in the past, but that’s no longer the case.” As the world’s first cold, ablative fiber laser, UltraClear can reverse the signs of aging in all skin types—including darker skin types III-VI—with less pain and downtime than other ablative devices. This includes all pesky skin problems ranging from pigmentation and fine lines to wrinkles, scars and age spots.
A variety of dishes found on the menu at The Blue Elephant’s new outpost
SOMETHING NEW, SOMETHING BLUE
As one of Pottstown’s most revered and super stylized restaurants, The Blue Elephant (blueelephantbar.com) has consistently upped the ante on culinary fusion with its Italian-Thai dishes that showcase Japanese influences. And Pearl Somboonsong Murphy, a visionary who grew up in the hospitality industry under the tutelage of her beloved restaurateur parents Win and Sutida Somboonsong (of Azie on Main and Teikoku), is now taking her innovative twist on Asian fusion dishes and drinks to the Main Line with The Blue Elephant’s soon-to-be-opened outpost in Wayne. “By mixing traditional flavors with blazingly contemporary techniques, the food, beverage program and dining experience at The Blue Elephant are carefully designed to surprise and elevate any night in or out,” says Murphy, who’s now overseeing all operations at WIN Signature Restaurants and is leading the way for new restaurant design concepts and openings. At the new Wayne location, be on the lookout for menu standouts such as black sesame Hokkaido milk bread with miso honey butter, lobster with handmade linguini and a Thai green curry coconut cream sauce, and the surf-and-turf specialty roll with filet mignon, crab and Japanese barbecue sauce.
