The doors at Forsythia open to create the perfect outdoor dining.
These memorable multi-course meals were meant to be shared.
1. The Wayward
Located inside Canopy by Hilton Philadelphia Center City, the American brasserie is still serving yummy plates like escargot croquettes and nicoise tartare thanks to an outdoor terrace filled with lush greenery and romantic string lighting. There’s also prime views of the East Market corridor, making it the perfect place for an intimate date night. thewayward.com
2. Zahav
Michael Solomonov and Steve Cook are changing the takeout game with the Takeout Mesibah Meals for Two. For $110, diners can bring the famous hummus- tahini and pita, seasonal salatim and a choice of entree (pick between the signature lamb shoulder, stuffed eggplant or whole black bass wrapped in grape leaves) and dessert. Dinner at home has never looked so delicious. zahavrestaurant.com
3. White Dog Cafe
Keep an eye out (and stomachs hungry) for White Dog Cafe’s fourth location, set to open this month. The sparkling new outpost in Delaware County prides itself on its patio, which sits 130. Helmed by executive chef Michael Selser, the menu will boast some new dishes, along with favorites like the deviled eggs and mushroom soup. whitedog.com
4. Fork
Do you prefer the crab Louie salad? Or how about the dry-aged ribeye? Feast on both when you order Ellen Yin’s dinner boxes at Fork—or pick from other options like baby beet salad, lamb, freekeh risotto, swordfish, and tuna and fresh bacon. Sweeten it all up with the chocolate ganache tart and corn flan. forkrestaurant.com
5. A.kitchen
Outdoor dining in Rittenhouse is always a treat, but when served with chef Eli Collins’ roasted half chicken burrowed in freekeh and sweet corn ragout, it’s exceptional. Did we mention that the dish is drizzled with a brown butter hot sauce? akitchenandbar.com
6. Southgate
Have a taste of the whole menu from the comfort of your home. For a family of two, you can pick two banchan, one small plate and two entrees. Our suggestions? Kimchi and crispy tofu, fluffy bulgogi beef buns, the bulgogi burger and—of course—the Seoul hot chicken sandwich. southgatephilly.com
7. Forsythia
Chef Christopher Kearse's contemporary French bistro reopened just in time for its one-year anniversary. Taste the chef's newest menu outside—including the roasted veal for two. forsythiaphilly.com
