What better way to start the day and brighten up your breakfast than with a colorful (and delicious) acai bowls. Here, we list some of our favorite places to grab a bowl.

Animo Juice & Burrito Bar

With their wide range of options, Animo is a Philadelphia must-try. Some of their most popular bowls are the Acai, the Papayay and the High Tide, which includes coconut milk, bue majik, pineapple, and banana and is generously topped with coconut flakes, sliced banana, kiwi, goji berries. Feeling extra hungry? Be sure to grab a bite from their burrito bar as well! 1701 Arch St., 267-519-0949.

Stripp'd Juice

Stripp’d Juice offers three different types of bowls: the Acai Bowl, the Matcha Bowl and our personal favorite, the Point Break Bowl, which consists of organic blue majik, pineapple, and banana, and is topped with strawberries and blueberries. 263 N 3rd St., 267-550-7877.

Boostin’ Bowls

If you are in the mood for something sweet and healthy, Boostin' Bowls has the perfect bowl for you. Named after their mascot, the Monkey Bowl features an acai base topped with granola, banana, chocolate chips, cacao nibs, and coconut shavings. They also recommend that you add peanut butter on top for the perfect bite. 100 Levering St., 267-331-8974.

Front Street Cafe

In addition to an array of juices and smoothies (check out the Golden Glow smoothie), Front Street Cafe offers both an acai bowl and an acai berry smoothie, which combines mixed berries, acai, banana, and orange. 1253 N Front St., 215-515-3073.

The Juice Merchant

Contrary to their name, The Juice Merchant does not just sell juices--their acai bowls are both extremely energizing and delicious! We recommend the Mango Bango Bowl, which cleverly combines coconut milk, banana, and mango, and is topped with coconut shreds and fresh berries. multiple locations, 215.483.8888.

This gluten-free, dairy free, and vegan friendly franchise is new to Rittenhouse Square and does not disappoint. Both their original acai bowl and their pitaya bowl allow you to add an abundance of different toppings. Completely customizable for any dietary need! 46 S 17th St., 215-634-9550
