A sample of the Irish-inspired eats at AC's Café Roma.
Atlantic City, March 16-17
Try your luck at some of AC’s biggest casinos this weekend—and we don’t mean the slots this time around. On Saturday, March 16 (8 am), head to Showboat’s Worship Surf Bar (801 Boardwalk, Atlantic City, 609-343-4088) to kick off the St. Patrick’s Day Parade with kegs and eggs. For classic corned beef, cabbage, potato pancakes, and potato barley soup, diners can visit Bally’s 6ix-A-Bistro (1900 Pacific Ave, Atlantic City, 609-340-1115). Caesars Café Roma (2100 Pacific Ave., Atlantic City, 609-348-4411) will also be serving up Emerald Isle-inspired fare like Irish potatoes, corned beef and cabbage, and bread pudding. Or, for a different twist on the holiday, try a trio of green-inspired sushi rolls at Showboat’s Steak and Sushi Lounge, Scarduzio’s (877-346-4642).
The whiskey selection at Bridget Foy's
Bridget Foy’s, March 16-17
The South Street mainstay will feature Irish food and drink specials all weekend long. Indulge in takes on traditional dishes like corned beef and cabbage, Guinness beef stew, and house-made lamb sausages. Since it wouldn’t be a Paddy’s Day party without whiskey and beer, the resto will offer Guinness and Seamus Irish Red Ale on draft as well as an array of Irish whiskeys including Connemara, Bushmills, Tully, Kilbeggan, and, of course, Jameson. On Saturday (March 16, 8 pm) Connemara Codfish Company will perform live with chances to win Guinness giveaways. Make a reservation by visiting bridgetfoys.com. 200 South St., 215-922-1813
