AUGUST 7, 2022
LARKSPUR, COLORADO
Zoe Osterman, from Villanova, met Paul Gunther of Summit, N.J., in Colorado during the pandemic, so it was only fitting that the couple—who connected on the dating app Hinge—tie the knot in the state they now call home. Zoe and Paul dreamed of a space that would be beautiful, intentional and welcoming, which they achieved with natural materials, soft overhead lights and bright florals. “We wanted to celebrate the barn location while still creating an elevated and romantic space,” says Zoe, who walked hand-in-hand with Paul down the aisle to the chuppah where they each stomped on their own glass. “It was important for us to establish an equal partnership from the beginning of our marriage,” says the bride.
Bright florals and soft lighting created a romantic ambiance in the barn
The stunning reception was filled with personal details—like the “Zalt” and pepper shakers (for Zoe and Paul’s initials) designed by family friend Jack Larimore, a handshaped ice sculpture for the raw bar display as a nod to the bride’s father and sister, both hand surgeons in Philadelphia, and of course an ice cream cart named after the couple’s pup Archer, who also walked down the aisle. The night was not complete until the newlyweds’ showstopping cake designed as a ski mountain (with fully operating chairlift holding a miniature Zoe, Paul and Archer) exploded “snow” when sliced. “Guest experience was definitely top of mind for the entire event!” says Zoe.
The Perfect Petal used neutral florals for the ceremony
